The agreement projects over 50 initiatives and is to be in force until December 2028
The state-owned enterprise Auditorio de Tenerife has approved a series of equality standards to be applied to its employees. The agreement, which tentatively is to be in force until December 2028, was signed on Friday, 14 March, in the presence of the Councillor for Cultural Affairs and the President of Auditorio de Tenerife, José Carlos Acha; the representatives of the enterprise, Daniel Cerezo y Sandra Kouwenberg; the workers’ representative, Araceli Vera, and the head of the consultancy ‘Innovática Gestión del Conocimiento’, Eloy González.
The standards affect the enterprise’s functioning and labour relations, as well as all the staff of the Auditorio de Tenerife. The agreement proposes 29 measures and 54 actions, and it is to be audited by a monitoring committee. Upon its expiry, it shall be revised in order to consider broadening or amending its content on the basis of the results observed.
The enterprise’s labour relations fall into three main categories. The public nature of the company and its organic dependence on the Tenerife Island Council determines its pay structure, hierarchy of positions and organisation. The commitment of the Auditorio de Tenerife to gender equality is clearly seen in its drafting and approval of a series of initiatives such as these equality standards.
The agreement formalises a series of objectives and strategies that are intended to ensure effective and real equality in the enterprise’s labour relations in order to further progress in the construction of an inclusive society based on values and the respect of diversity.
