Synopsis of 147 abrazos

'147 abrazos' (147 hugs) is an extract from the play 'Dosis de paraíso' (Dosis of paradise). The work arises from the need to deal with love and from the relationship between two people. Repetition is a key factor; the transformation of a state within a cycle is developed through repetition. It leads to a cadence, it sacrifices consciousness and generates instability. Movement in a relationship is born from need, it demands satisfaction from the other. We consolidate a route by repeating an action, a gesture; only if we push that movement to its limit, we can switch our direction to another place.

Synopsis of Laika

What does it mean to be normal? Normality is a statistical concept, and we label it as a status. Who hasn't felt strange or weird at some point: like a fish out of water or Laika in outer space? It is uncomfortable to feel outside the boundaries of normality; it can be painful, shattering; we try unflinchingly to fit in, but sometimes without success.

Laika demands the right to be odd and peculiar as human values; this enables each individual to reassert that each one of us is a special and unique being.
