iU an Mi

The Festival de las Artes del Movimiento, FAM, presents this dance work.

 On the pretext of a funeral, iU an Mi deals with people’s behaviour when faced with irreversible facts or unavoidable actions we do not know how to tackle. About emotions masked by convention, about personal matters exposed to the community. About how we look at the others and how they see us. About privacy and social, personal and public. With “iU an Mi”, Lali Ayguadé signs her second large-scale work: a physical piece with a strong theatrical component that challenges the way people are taught to react to unavoidable events, emotions exposed to the community, memory, the passing of time, reality and imagination. This is the second part, after Kokoro in 2015, of the trilogy the Catalan choreographer announced.
