38th International Music Festival of the Canary Islands Concert
The Sinfónica de Tenerife, a cultural leader on the island that has participated in all the FIMC editions, will be directed in 2022 by the German maestro Michael Boder, with whom they will debut a programme dedicated to the music of the twentieth century: Messiaen, Hindemith, and Poulenc. In terms of the latter artist, his ‘Concerto for Two Pianos’ will be played, featuring two young pianists: The Spanish Mario Marzo and the Indian-American Pallavi Mahidhara.
Mario comes from a family of musicians and, despite his youth, he has performed with important Spanish and European orchestras. His piano talent coexists with his role as an influencer on social networks. Pallavi, of Indian-American heritage, is a multi-award winning pianist who has also been praised for her charisma on stage and her musical versatility.
