Boost Percussion has tirelessly sought new concepts and adventures in sound since the group's creation in 2014. Comprised of four percussionists from Castilla-La Mancha, the group is known from its eclectic repertoire of: electronic, contemporary, classical and ethnic music. Its versatility and talent have garnered public and critical acclaim.
As part of the group's commitment to modern music, the works of young composers have a special place within its repertoire, along with the most relevant pieces written specifically for percussion (solo or ensemble) or for percussion and other instruments.
The most notable of its many performances throughout Spain include its participation in the project ‘MusaE’, the musical event ‘Las Noches del Monumental’, the chamber-music cycle of state-owned broadcaster RTVE, at the 22nd Music Festival of La Mancha, the cycle ‘Music for the Third Millennium’ and a tour with the concerto for percussion trio and orchestra ‘The Glory and the Grandeur’ by composer Russell Peck. In the seasons 2021-2022 and 2022-2023, Boost Percussion has performed in educational concerts of Juan March Foundation, with the project ‘Noise, Pulse, Rhythm: the World of Percussion’ and in the cycle ‘Composers with Ñ’ at Zarzuela Theatre.
The members of Boost Percussion play Marimba One instruments and use REMO heads.
