Valeria Castro
Valeria Castro is coming home to launch her album El cuerpo después de todo.
Aged just 25, Valeria Castro has established herself as an indisputable force in Spanish language music.
After completing a tour with 82 sold-out concerts in theatres across more than 10 countries with her first album, she is launching El cuerpo después de todo, her second long-format project. Produced by the eight-time Latin Grammy winner Carles Campi Campón (Jorge Drexler, Natalia Lafourcade, Vetusta Morla), this album offers a statement of artistic and personal maturation. In it, the singer from La Palma reveals a strong woman who courageously faces her fears. It is a puzzle of emotions that connects with our deepest and most dormant feelings. Valeria Castro, always faithful to her essence, seems to remind us of that phrase by the writer Saint-Exupéry in The Little Prince: "What is essential is invisible to the eye."
Recorded between Mexico and Spain, this new project will take Valeria Castro to at least 17 countries on her launch tour, ending with a concert at the Wizink Center in Madrid, a milestone that confirms her position as one of the great artists of her generation.
Valeria Castro has amassed important accolades, including two Latin Grammy nominations, one nomination for the Goya Awards and prizes such as the Best Album of Spanish Origin at the MIN Awards, the ACAEM Award and the Canaries Gold Medal.
Over her career, she has collaborated with iconic figures and groups such as Julieta Venegas, Alejandro Sanz, La Oreja de Van Gogh, Silvana Estrada, Vetusta Morla, Vicente García and Sílvia Pérez Cruz, establishing herself as an essential voice in contemporary Hispanic music.
