Las Alegrías
In 2019 Festival de las Artes del Movimiento, FAM, opens with a premiere: Paula Quintana’s Las Alegrías.
It is a piece about joy as a generating, transforming and revolutionary power. It is a dialogue danced by two bodies: the living, latent body of Paula Quintana and a magical, heavenly body that concentrates all the powerful energy and drive of life. Las Alegrías is an accompanied solo number, or a choreographed installation about joy as a life and political stance, which also reveals the commitment of an artist who is determined to allow life and stage transform her.
A stage journey through a sensitive, displayed body that withdraws and rises to concentrate all the creative, mysterious power of joy.
