The Mercado de las Artes Performativas del Atlántico Sur, MAPAS 2019, [South Atlantic Performing Arts Market] now has 112 heads of programming from 38 different countries who have confirmed their participation in this international event to be held from 10 to 14 July in Tenerife. Programmers can register until 15 June on MAPAS website  www.mapasmercadocultural.com.

The invitation is addressed to artistic directors, curators, festival curators, cultural managers from public and private institutions and promoters connected with the performing arts (music, theatre, dance, circus arts and street art). By registering you are entitled to take part in business meetings with selected artists, companies and musicians and learn about innovative art proposals from three continents (Africa, Latin America and Southern Europe) in the sixty plus artistic shows that have been scheduled.

In its third year MAPAS has established its position as a place for cultural exchange of global scope for artists and agencies coming from three continents and also as an international meeting point for the performing arts industry.

Apart from the business meetings and the art shows, the organizers of MAPAS 2019 have put together a programme of talks and training activities. The activity “Encuentro de Redes” is worth mentioning as it will bring together representatives of institutions that promote music and the performing arts worldwide, including Asociación para el Desarrollo de la Industria de la Música Iberoamericana (ADIMI) [Association for the Development of the Latin American Music Industry], Global Music Market Network (GLOMNET), Red Eurolatinoamericana de Artes Escénicas (REDELAE) [Euro-Latin-American Network of Performing Arts] or Red de Teatros y Auditorios de España (REDESCENA) [Spanish Theatre and Auditorium Network].
