The concert is inspired by the Austro-Hungarian Empire including works by Brahms, Dvořák and Janácek. It also travels to Valencia and Ávila

The Ciclo de Cámara of the Auditorio de Tenerife, a cultural venue under the Cabildo de Tenerife’s Department of Culture run by councillor Enrique Arriaga, presents the concert Bohemios by the Quantum Ensemble that includes works by Brahms, Dvořák and Janácek. It will take place on Saturday, the 7th at 7:30 pm at Auditorio de Tenerife’s Sala de Cámara. They are starting their tour today at the Almudín in Valencia to then go on to Fundación Ávila on Friday.

The repertoire chosen by Quantum Ensemble is based on the music created under the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The rhythms, harmonies, melodies, and motifs in Bohemios will bring listeners to music itself through three compositions. This time, the chamber music ensemble is playing Leoš Janáček’s Dumka for violin and piano; de, Clarinet Trio in A Major by Johannes Brahms, and finally, Piano Trio nº4 in E minor by Antonín Dvořák.

Violinist Frederieke Saeijs and cellist Ángel Luis Quintana join Gustavo Díaz-Jerez’s piano and Cristo Barrios’s clarinet to perform the Bohemios repertoire. As usual in Quantum Ensemble concerts, there will be a pre-concert talk by composer and performer Fernando Palacios who will speak about the repertoire. This time and due to the current circumstances, the speaker will talk remotely.
