The Chamber Hall offers a new event of the Primavera Musical cycle this Sunday.
The Chamber Hall of the Auditorio de Tenerife will host three new music bands this Sunday, April 13, as part of the Primavera Musical cycle, organised by the wind bands federation ‘Federación Tinerfeña de Bandas de Música’ with the support of Tenerife Island Council. The event, starting at 11.30 p.m., will feature the participation of the concert bands from La Guancha, Guía de Isora and Fasnia. Entry is free until the total capacity is reached.
This Sunday’s musical programme kicks off with the wind band ‘Agrupación Musical La Esperanza’ from La Guancha, performing at the Auditorio de Tenerife. The ensemble is led by Jesús Agomar González Guillama, who has been at the helm for a decade. The band will showcase three musical pieces: Olimpic Fanfare and Theme, by John Williams, with arrangements by Jim Curnow; Augusto Alves, by Nuno Ossorio, and Cry of the Last Unicorn, by Rossano Galante.
The concert band ‘Agrupación Musical Isorana’ will be the second to perform on stage. Under the baton of Ana Gloria Carvajal Rodríguez, the band from Guía de Isora, founded in 1958, features 45 musicians. Their programme opens with Roberto Forés by Ferrer Ferrán, followed by Perfect by Ed Sheeran, arranged by Michael Brown, and concludes with Selections from Mary Poppins, arranged by Ted Ricketts.
The wind band ‘Patronato Artístico Musical’ from Fasnia will close this Sunday’s event, marking its 40th anniversary. Directed by Mateu Azzaro González Rodríguez, the ensemble will perform a programme featuring three compositions: Concha Manzana by Ferrer Ferrán, Dakota by Jacob de Haan, and Guardians of the Galaxy, arranged by Michael Brown.
The next Primavera Musical event at the Chamber Hall will be on 27th April, starting at 11.30 a.m., and featuring three wind bands from municipalities in the northern part of the island: the ‘Filarmónica’ from Los Realejos; ‘Alcaraván’ from San Juan de la Rambla, and ‘El Salvador’, from La Matanza.
