The concert features performances from the specialities of Percussion, Vocal and Chamber Music.

The Auditorio de Tenerife hosts on Saturday [15 March], at 6 p.m. in the Chamber Hall a concert by pupils of the Professional Music Conservatoire (CPM) of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The ensembles participating in this event are the percussion, vocal, and chamber music students. Entry is free until the total capacity is reached.

The concert will begin with the percussion group, presenting Daniela Castro Caraballero, Alberto Andrés Expósito Muñoz, Cristo Manuel León Amaro, Axel Sánchez Suárez and Carlos Manuel Suárez Gonçalves. With their teacher, Andrea Domínguez de Dios, they will perform a programme consisting of ‘Galloping Comedians’ by Kabalevsky-Jeanne and ‘Kalläers’ by Eckhard Kopetzki.

Next, the percussion ensemble will perform their programme, featuring Raiders March, Schindler’s List, and The Imperial March by John Williams, as well as Star Trek: Into Darkness by Michael Giacchino, all arranged by Alberto Román. In addition, the ensemble will present Gonna Fly Now/Eye of the Tiger by Bill Conti and Survivor, both specially arranged for percussion by Óscar G. García. Emilio Díaz Martín is the teacher of the ensemble, which is composed of the following students: Romarey Cabrera Hernández (piano), Juan Diego Cardozo Armada (violin), Ethan G. Aricoma Mamani, Camila V. Brito Rodríguez, Guillermo Monreal Luis Gabriel Vélez Hernández, Guillermo Almeida Sicilia, Jorge Mira Alemán, Miguel Mira Alemán, Aruna Beuster Yanes, Aday Bravo Hernández, Emilio Díaz Lemus, Alberto Hernández Díaz, Pablo Hernández León, And Óscar G. García.

Jorge Cordero is the Vocal teacher, the next speciality to take the stage in the Chamber Hall with piano accompaniment by Conchi Reyes. The performance will start with soprano Vania Cabrera García, 2nd year of Professional Education, with El jilguerillo con pico de oro (The gold-billed goldfinch) B. de Laserna. She is followed by tenor Diego Fariña Noda, 4th year of Professional Education, who will perform Un momento di contento, from Alcina, by G. F. Haendel. The group concludes with soprano Irene Rosa Reyes, 6th year of Professional Education, performing the aria Ah, non credea mirarti from La Sonnambula by V. Bellini.

The programme concludes with chamber music, featuring G. Fauré’s Fantasia Op. 79, performed by students Ariadne de Armas Marrero on flute and Xue Sánchez Ramos on piano. Next, soprano Irene Rosa Reyes and pianist Ruimán Delgado Rodríguez will perform the aria So machen’s alle! from Così fan tutte by W. A. Mozart and Mein Herr Marquis from Die Fledermaus by J. Strauss. The concert concludes with Verano Porteño (Summer in Buenos Aires) by Astor Piazzolla, performed by Romarey Cabrera Hernández on piano, Camila Salas Cerrada on violin, and Galaaz Meistozo Antón on cello.

Through these activities, the Conservatorio Profesional de Música (CPM – Professional Music Conservatoire) of Santa Cruz de Tenerife encourages pupils to participate outside the school environment. This concert aims to show the level and work carried out by the students and teachers of the different specialities and subjects of the centre.
