Amateur theatre

The Amateur Theatre is a training option included under the Learning and Social Programme of the Auditorio de Tenerife. The Amateur Theatre fosters the interest in this hobby and the production of theatrical activities within the existing associations in Tenerife. This programme aims to foster the communication, exchange of ideas and creativity of those people who are members of the youth, cultural, women and neighbours’ association (among others).

The main objectives are to promote the taste for theatrical practice and development among social and cultural groups; the love of the public to attend theatre pieces; to contribute to enhance the artistic-technical quality of amateur theatre; to create the different working groups (direction, actors, stage and costume designers, dressmakers, playwrights, scriptwriters, among others).
