Faithful to its commitment to the International Festival, during this 37th edition the audience, once more, has the privilege of having the Orquesta Filarmónica de Gran Canaria, conducted by Karel Mark Chichon. After a long period of symphonic activity dating back to the mid-19th century, the current OFGC orchestra has been active since 1980. Since then, it has developed an ongoing and stable musical activity, with more symphonic and lyrical performances. Great maestros and soloists have accompanied the Orchestra since its beginnings. Its commitment to the society of Gran Canaria and its educational work is noteworthy.
