Considered one of the ten best orchestras in the world, the Budapest Festival Orchestra returns to the International Festival of the Canary Islands under the baton of its chief conductor, Ivan Fischer. Fischer realised his dream when he founded this orchestra in 1983, an ensemble with which he frequently performs on the world's most important musical stages. For this 37th edition, they perform an exceptional repertoire with the pianist Javier Perianes, who was awarded the Spanish 'National Music Prize' in 2012. In 2019 he was named ‘Artist of the Year’ by the International Classical Music Awards (ICMA).
