From the 3rd to the 6th  of June, the Arts of Movement Festival FAM  2021  programmes 24 shows in five premises: Auditorio de Tenerife, Espacio La Granja, Paraninfo de la ULL, Teatro Guimerá and the scenic space Centro de Arte La Recova.

Regarding the different types of phobias, there are those where people have an irrational and exacerbated fear towards external situations; this is the case of kenophobia, or the fear of voids or empty spaces. For those who suffer from kenophobia, empty spaces are terrifying. They feel totally uncontrollable distress when they are exposed to empty spaces or when they think about them. Emotional symptoms include feelings of anger, fear, sadness and even guilt.

People who suffer from kenophobia live in houses full of things; filling all the gaps gives the phobic person a sense of control. Open spaces might mean void and loneliness. This phobia is closely linked to the fear of loneliness.

The play begins with a big party, full of joy. Soon it comes to an end; the people leave and the guests are in empty spaces where they feel lonely and afraid. Based on this loneliness, the emotional instability of each character is reflected. Each character will show his/her fears and emptiness; they will even shout out their traumas and celebrate before the audience.

Kenophobia is comprised of three pieces that last fifty minutes; it is a colourful work, full of images, with a physical language, with dynamic and energetic movements. In line with the company's work concept, special importance is given to the costumes, to the presentation in video and photography.
