Based on the 1990 Oscar-winning romantic drama starring Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, and Whoopi Goldberg, Ghost, the musical, recounts the relationship between Sam and Molly both in life and after his death in a robbery. Sam was trapped between both worlds in order to protect his girlfriend from the same threat that took his life. He contacts Molly through Oda Mae, a scammer who passes herself off as a psychic and who unexpectedly develops the capacity to serve as a bridge between the world of the living and that of the dead.

Love, humour, intrigue, and the supernatural along with unforgettable songs and extraordinary stage effects result in the perfect experience that delights all audiences.

The Musical in Spain is an original production directed by Federico Bellone, artistic director of shows with renowned international trajectories, notably including Mary Poppins, in Italy, by Disney and Cameron Mackintosh. A total of 41 scenes recreate the film with spectacular staging.

Alongside the illusionist Paolo Carta, creator of the special effects in the musical Mary Poppins, in Italy, the show includes striking special effects that make it possible to recreate memorable scenes from the film; such as the scene in which the ghost goes through the body of Oda Mae and the legendary scenes of Sam going through walls. With live music, the show has a band formed by pianists, drums, a bass guitarist, and a guitarist under the musical direction of Julio Awad which immerses the spectator in the legendary pop/rock of the ‘90s, without forgetting the iconic Unchained Melody.

The choreography is directed by Chiara Vecchi, the script and lyric adaptation are by Silvia Montesinos (also assistant director and resident director), the costume design is by Felype de Lima, the characterisation is by Olaya Brandón and the lighting design is by Valerio Tiberi. The lights in the work will depict the nostalgia of New York twenty years ago and accompany the spectator to immerse themselves in this unparalleled story.
