La La Land in concert
The Auditorio de Tenerife is set to host a one-of-a-kind show, the La La Land in concert (live-to-picture), at the Tenerife International Film Music Festival, Fimucité 18.
This concert offers a rare opportunity to experience the magic of La La Land on a large central screen, accompanied by two supporting screens on both sides of the stage. The original version of the film (English) will be screened with Spanish subtitles, while the Sinfónica de Tenerife, under the baton of the film's composer Justin Hurwitz, a two-time Oscar winner, will perform the film's soundtrack live. The show will also feature the Canarian pianist Polo Ortí as a soloist.
The Tenerife International Film Music Festival, the oldest of its kind in the world, is turning 18 and celebrates becoming an adult in true style with a memorable theme: musicals and their great film adaptations. Don't stop believing, and A million dreams are the leitmotifs of Fimucité 18, a festival that continues to motivate and awaken dreams in its audience, offering two great and inspiring productions at the Auditorio de Tenerife. Musicals make us dream and challenge us to give the best of ourselves, and they convey the message that critical projects can be achieved with enthusiasm and courage.
On Friday, 19 July, Fimucité is again screening a film while performing its soundtrack perfectly synchronising with the images, dialogues, and sound effects. The live-to-picture of La La Land is an artistic and technical challenge of the highest level. This format, which thus far Fimucité has only produced on the islands, got underway in 2018 with Close Encounters of the Third Kind and Javier Sierra as the presenter and star guest. 2019 saw the revival of Dracula by Bram Stoker, by Francis Ford Coppola, in a co-production with Krakow FMF, a partner film music festival.
The live-to-picture of La La Land, a film that redefined the musical genre and took the world by storm in 2017, is making its debut in the Canaries. The film's composer, Justin Hurwitz, a two-time Oscar winner, is visiting the Canaries for the first time to conduct the Sinfónica de Tenerife in a performance of his legendary score. This is a unique opportunity for film lovers and those who appreciate film music and musicals to witness a global phenomenon in their backyard.

Fimucité offers the following discounts for its concerts in the Auditorio de Tenerife:
-Children under 30 years old: 5 € discount in all areas.
-Large families: 15 % discount in all areas.
-Fimucité subscription in the Auditorium: for the joint purchase of a ticket for each concert of the festival (La La Land in concert and A million dreams), 10% discount (buying both days in the same area, available in all areas and only at the box office).
-Tenerife Symphony Orchestra (2023-2024 season): 10 % discount in all zones.
Fimucité wants to reward the loyalty of the first 100 buyers of tickets for the symphonic concerts by giving them an official gift of the festival. The purchasers of the first 100 locations will receive an email from the Auditorio de Tenerife with instructions for collecting them in the hall before the concerts.
