Auditorio de Tenerife welcomes concert by Miguel Ríos & The Black Betty Trio as part of their tour Un largo tiempo (A long time).

After announcing his farewell from performing on stage, his passion for music has always brought him back and he showed it last year when Miguel Ríos decided to return with a new album, which is his first acoustic project: Un largo tiempo (A long time)It is a new adventure with which he has offered his audience an original acoustic format where he has also returned with his major hits revamped.

More than 12 years waiting is equivalent to Un largo tiempo (A long time), the new studio album by Miguel Ríos. In reality, the performer from Granada has never completely bid farewell to his audience, and in a year of global pandemic and 11 years after announcing his retirement, recording 10 new songs is one of the best pieces of news that fans of the artist could get.

Un largo tiempo is like those classic albums packed with sound landscapes, contrasts from song to song that entice us to stop time and let ourselves be carried away by the power of the lyrics, the exultant voice of Miguel and his powerful melodies that stand out for laying everything bare. An acoustic album, for the first time in his music career, that takes us back to the essence of the purest rock and roll, giving way to guitars, piano, violin, more mandolin details, steel guitar and some delicious string arrangements. An LP that commits to what is essential, as the music journalist Juan Puchades described it.

The album title, Un largo tiempo, comes from a fragment taken from the poem Para que yo me llame Ángel González, to which Miguel adds his voice and music in one of the album´s songs. A real musical adventure with the trusted production of José Nortes, his right-hand man on this journey, who composed the instrumental part of the songs and who is part of The Black Betty Trio, a group he is in alongside Luis Prado and Edu Ortega, which is accompanying Miguel on this new special project, and on the studio album.

The album, formed by 10 tracks, has 8 new songs, that arise out the need to reflect, in a straight-talking way, the reality of a generation (El Blues de la tercera Edad) and an era (La Estirpe de Caín) and sing about his worries and desires; and it also two special versions of two great music hits: Que salgan los clowns (Send In The Clowns), as an adaptation of the classic by Stephen Sondheim, which was the last single release of this LP and whose video involves an appearance from the great actor Juan Echanove and Viene y luego va, a version of Come then goes by Eddie Vedder (Pearl Jam).

In December 2021, Miguel Ríos reissued his album Un largo tiempo with an extended version that includes 4 live songs, recorded on the tour of the same name alongside his group, The Black Betty Trio (Maruzzella, No estás sola, La luna de Alabama and Rocanrol Bumerang). Also, as extras it includes the singles Moriré antes que las flores and Hola Ríos, Hello, all produced by Jose Nortes.

Access is only allowed to children over five years of age.
