As part of its range for families, Auditorio de Tenerife is scheduling the show Semilla (Seed) by the company Tea Tree, recommended for children over the age of 2.

Play, dance, grow. Sow, wait, imagine. Get bored and let yourself go... What will emerge? What will it be like? Seek, move, discover, create... Like a sprout emerging from the earth, like an idea becoming a reality.  A flowerpot, a little earth, a small seed and a little water... This is all a seed needs to grow.  Then, it is simply necessary to wait for the first leaves to emerge. For Sara and Pierre, waiting is a game of patience. What have they sown? Will it germinate? Where will it take root?

Semilla (Seed) is a dance, circus and theatre piece that makes both plants and ideas blossom. Semilla is about looking after living things. Looking after a plant, giving it the best conditions for it to grow the best it can. However, Semilla is not only about botany; rather, this show is also about our relationship with time. Patience. Waiting.

What shall we do while we wait for it to grow? Games, agreements, disagreements, conflicts... But also, poetry, dreamlike acrobatics and sacred moments are encountered in this show, taking care of living things, as well as the children who will be the adults of the future, and in this comical, danced, and poetic form, we want to nourish their imagination and help them to be creative when they are in the world of tomorrow. And this world begins today. We want to stimulate and invite the audience to remember that their body, no matter what it is like, can move and dance!

A seed, a little earth, eyes that shine, feet and hands that twist, sow and wait for growth, wait and play with time, get carried away by uncertainty and the unknown. Semilla is like a plant that grows despite everything, like an idea that germinates who knows where.

"An ode to patience, both in botany and in life. The piece has the lightness of pollen and with its tiny seeds it cares for and prepares the ground to create green landscapes." Le Soir
