38º FIMC: ORQUESTA DE CÁMARA DE PARÍS
The Paris Chamber Orchestra is arriving to the Auditorium as part of the 38th FIMC. With its more than 40 years of experience, this orchestra is considered one of the most important chamber ensembles in Europe. Through a major renewal process undertaken in recent years, it is bringing on a new generation of French musicians who have made this one of the youngest permanent orchestras in France and the first French orchestra to achieve true gender parity.
In the Canary Islands, the ensemble will be directed by Antonio Méndez, one of the most sought, established, and interesting Spanish directors of his generation. They will play one of Wagner's few symphonic scores: "Siegfried Idyll." They will also play Beethoven's Second Symphony and, as their main piece, Prokofiev's “Violin Concerto No. 2”. For this latter piece, they will have the help of the exceptional German violinist Arabella Steinbacher. She is known for her extraordinarily varied repertoire, which includes pieces from the Classical and Romantic eras, along with Modernist concert works.

Depending on the measures adopted by the Government of the Canary Islands, at the time of access to the building you will be required: COVID-19 certificate with complete vaccination schedule, negative diagnostic test of active infection carried out in the last 48 hours in a legally authorised laboratory (self-tests are not included) or an official certificate proving that you have overcome the infection between 11 and 180 days prior to the event. The user will have to choose between one or two pre-set seats previously distributed throughout the hall during the purchase process. The ticket sales close one hour before the start of the show to finish setting up the hall and ensure that our audience has a completely safe experience.
