PROTO (SN1806)
The Auditorio de Tenerife hosts dance show PROTO (SN1806), by the Galician creator Janet Novás.
PROTO (SN1806) uses the phenomenon of supernovas as its starting point. What if we join together and let ourselves die and explode and then see what other imagery emerges? We are interested and challenged by these experiences of heat, explosion, visibility of the different layers that comprise us, brightness, death, enrichment of space and the formation of new systems. How do we explode together and generate new scenarios that are more collective, brighter, and less catastrophic? How do we experience the “last hurrah” together and create new ways of being a community? Well, every end has a beginning. A journey from down on earth right up to the stars. A space that gives us back the integrity and strength of collective warmth.
PROTO (SN1806) is an open proposal, that invites other production times. The piece will be gradually created through several capsules, with its end unknown, perhaps there will be no end, perhaps it will be infinite... PROTO (SN1806) is proposed as a space for growing and opening up, in order to inhabit the unknown that we know about without fear.
