RECITALS WITH AIRAM HERNÁNDEZ
Ópera de Tenerife is offering a series of recitals as an addition to its 2023-2024 season entitled Universo Ópera. On this occasion, the Tenerife tenor Airam Hernández is starring in three different recitals in three cultural venues on the island, always accompanied on piano by Vanessa García.
The recitals with Airam Hernández have three dates in Tenerife:
→ 4 April at the Auditorio de Tenerife with the programme El viaje del trovador (The troubadour's journey).
→ 5 April at the Auditorio in Adeje with the programme Aires del sur (Tunes of the south).
→ 6 April at the Auditorio Teobaldo Power in La Orotava with the programme Aires del norte (Tunes of the North).
El viaje del trovador (The Troubadour's Journey) includes a selection of Spanish songs that trace a line through time from the 15th century until the present. This programme invites spectators to travel through time and enjoy the compositional evolution of a repertoire that is rich in registers and a broad palette of sounds.
Aires del Norte (Tunes from the north) and Aires del Sur (Tunes from the south) were born to offer two programmes that connect with people who come to these two beautiful spaces on the island. In Aires del Norte we have proposed a programme devoted to composers from the north of Spain, while in Aires del Sur we have focused on composers from the south of Spain and Latin America. Thus, we are offering our audience the chance to enjoy two different programmes that capture the essence of the Spanish song tradition.
For Airam Hernández, “Planning a concert is comparable to creating a good perfume; the order, quantity and balance between the pieces are essential for it to work. Thus, it thrills and lives on in the memory.”
