COMPLETE BEETHOVEN I

The two last package concerts are dedicated to the complete piano concertos by Ludwig van Beethoven. In the capacity of pianist and conductor, François-Frédéric Guy is in charge of carrying out this ambitious project which the OST performed with Víctor Pablo Pérez and J. F. Osorio in 1999. Born in France, F.-F. Guy has been one of the most reputed pianists in Europe since he made his debut with the Orchestra of Paris in 1999. Although he is a champion of contemporary repertoire, Guy is also very closely linked to the German Romantic repertoire, especially to Beethoven, who he describes as “the Alpha and Omega of music”. In 2008 he embarked on a great adventure that led him to interpret and record Beethoven’s thirty-two sonatas and five concertos in the shape of an acclaimed album published by Naïve.
