A TWO-SIDED CONCERT
A concert of the Festival de Música Antigua de Tenerife [Tenerife Early Music Festival] included in the Nova Ars Organorum organ series.
The fact this church has two 18th century German organs, one from the first half of the century (Otto Diederich Richborn, 1723) and the other one from the second, (unknown 1770), with different registrations, allows the organist to play a varied, contrasting repertoire that includes music from several countries (Germany, Italy, France…) and styles across the one and half centuries of the Baroque period, to end with classic authors from the end of the century like Austrian symphonist Joseph Haydn, whose work for organ is not very well-known, or Spanish José Lidón.
Rosario Álvarez, artistic director of Nova Ars Organorum
