The FAM 2021 edition (Arts of Movement Festival) will take place from the 3rd to the 6th of June with 24 shows in five different venues: Auditorio de Tenerife, Espacio La Granja, Paraninfo de la ULL, Teatro Guimerá and the scenic venue Centro de Arte La Recova.

The Arts of Movement Festival FAM 21 presents ‘Campo cerrado’ (Enclosed field), a cartography-like performance that revolves around concepts like identity and diversity. From the dramaturgy point of view, it tackles key cultural issues of a difficult historical time: The Spanish post-war period. The performance is a sort of braiding. It activates all cultural and artistic traces of the 1940s and 1950s, a period where alliances and confrontations between art and power take on special relevance. Such concepts as resilience, resistance, repression, reinvention and exile take on their full meaning. This choreographic work aims to show an alternative way of interpreting our history; it explores in depth how the different post-war avant-garde movements developed during this historical period. Creators of the time, with their stroke of genius and talent, probably made it possible to happen; they applied different artistic perspectives that consolidated and went beyond a period that has been traditionally considered as a cultural backwater.
