Haydn poking at our spirit rather than at our thoughts: his Violin Concerto nº3 is just as intense and expressive as subtle and melodic. The perfect connection between Bach and Mozart. Bohemian airs will come next with the rhythmic and danceable Idylla by a young Janácek, written sometime after conducting the Serenata by his good friend Dvorák, who pens an exuberant string symphonic miniature.
