La grande
It is not a question of size but of artistic ambition: Schubert's Symphony No. 9, known as The Great (La Grande), paved the way for orchestral composition in the 19th century. This monumental work is acclaimed for its majestic scale and profound expressivity. On the same programme is Las constelaciones que más brillan, composed by Raquel García-Tomás (winner of Spain's National Music Award) and Tchaikovsky's Variations on a Rococo Theme, both interpreted by Alban Gerhardt. Get ready for an evening of inspiration and astonishment with the Sinfónica de Tenerife led by German conductor Johanna Malangré.
