La sexta de Bruckner
Antony Hermus conducts the Sinfónica de Tenerife in one of this season's most anticipated programmes. The evening begins with Messiaen's Les offrandes oubliées, a reflection on sin and redemption. It is followed by Respighi Il tramonto, a highly emotive work for voice and orchestra, with the mezzo-soprano Barbara Kozelj. Concluding the evening's performances is Bruckner's Symphony No. 6, known for its majesty and emotional depth and as a representative work of the composer's late-period style.
