Auditorio de Tenerife (Sala Sinfónica) In his Cello Concerto, sheer English phlegm German Romanticism, Elgar looks around him, somewhat nostalgic about the past, and sadly recalls the disaster of the First World War. Next to him, one of the best-known symphonies: Dvorák’s Ninth, of fantastic sound outbursts and melodic ruptures that send us straight to the United States of the late 19th century.
