Vasily Petrenko will conduct the opening concert on 13 September, and on 20 June the young violinist María Dueñas will perform as soloist on the closing night

The Sinfónica de Tenerife (Tenerife Symphony Orchestra) will explore the music composed over the last four centuries during the 2024-2025 season, which is presented with the slogan Siente tu Sinfónica (Experience your Symphony Orchestra). The orchestra has confirmed a total of 80 public activities planned between September and July, thus reaffirming the Island Board of Music's commitment to cultural promotion and social inclusion on the island of Tenerife. The Auditorio de Tenerife will offer 18 symphonic season concerts, 12 lyrical season shows, five family performances and 14 school concerts and shows. Also, 17 music and social activities and 14 extraordinary concerts will take place in different locations across the island.

The pass-holder season, which includes 18 programmes, is underway on 13 September with the conductor Vasily Petrenko leading the orchestra, and it concludes on 20 June with Marina Dueñas, a 21-year-old violinist from Granada. Fifty-four works will be performed between those dates, including a nod to Spanish music with the compositions of Manuel de Falla, José María Sánchez-Verdú, Marco Mezquida and Raquel García, winner of the 2020 National Music Award.

The vice-president and councillor for Tourism of the Island Council of Tenerife, Lope Afonso, stated that "this is a commitment to quality. Few symphony orchestras and few territories can offer this quality programme over such a long season. Quality that has led our orchestra to become a leader over time and to enjoy well-established prestige since the era of Víctor Pablo Pérez, which has been maintained over time". Afonso added that "we are continuing a policy of affordable pass and ticket prices, bringing the orchestra to different parts of the island and involving it in aspects such as training with many activities. Being lucky enough to enjoy the Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife allows the island's name to be heard loud and clear in all fields of music, the most prestigious and distinguished on the European and national scene. We are in a celebratory mood".

The island minister of Culture and Museums of Tenerife, José Carlos Acha, stated that "the slogan for the orchestra this year is 'Experience your Symphony Orchestra' because it belongs to all of us. The Sinfónica de Tenerife's audience is very loyal. It suffered during the pandemic, but it has gradually recovered and is growing. A total of 80 confirmed activities will take place across the entire island, with a very well-balanced repertoire stretching from the 18th century to the 21st century."

The technical director of the Orquesta Sinfónica de Tenerife, Daniel Broncano, confirms that seventeen conductors will lead the Sinfónica de Tenerife, including six women. The honorary conductor, Víctor Pablo Pérez, is undertaking two performances this season.
