Ten municipalities participate in this programme which offers stage training for people from the age of seven.

 

The Escuelas de Teatro programme (Theatre Schools) has opened the enrolment period for the year 2024-2025, and the activities starts on 1 October. Ten municipalities participate in this programme’s edition fostered by Auditorio de Tenerife: Adeje, Arona, Candelaria, El Rosario, El Sauzal, Fasnia, Guía de Isora, La Laguna, La Orotava, and Tegueste.

Classes are divided into age groups: group A is for children from seven to 10 years old, group B is for those between 11 and 12 years, group C is for teenagers between 13 and 15 years, and group C is for pupils over 16 years. There is no need not need to have prior knowledge or special skills to register in one of the theatre schools’ groups.

The island’s network Escuelas de Teatro de Tenerife (Theatre Schools of Tenerife) is developed together with the island's municipalities. The theatrical training to children, youth and adults is offered in educational and cultural centres. All programme teachers have a degree in performing arts from the School of Performing Arts of the Canary Islands (Escuela de Actores de Canarias) and will give classes in different parts of the island.

This Citizen Laboratory for the Performing Arts is a programme of the Educational and Social Area of the Auditorio de Tenerife. One of its main aims is to foster a quality artistic hobby and contribute to the cultural development of their environment.
