The group Cuarteto Federal, Christian Cabrera's quintet and the proposal Jazz & Dance will perform at the Chamber Hall

The Auditorio de Tenerife hosts two days of the Canarias Jazz Showroom in the Chamber Hall at 7.30 p.m. The event starts on Friday (11th) with the group Cuarteto Federal and continues on Saturday (12th) with Christian Cabrera's quintet, preceded by the performance of Jazz & Dance. Tickets for each concert can be purchased at a general price of €15, €5 for audiences under 30.

The group performing on Friday, Cuarteto Federal, is a contemporary jazz quartet of veteran artists from different parts of Spain, including Xacobe Martínez Antelo, who hails from Santiago de Compostela and is known for being the bassist of the group Sumrrá, Kike Perdomo on the sax, from the Canary Islands, Javier Galiana on the piano, from Andalusia, and Guillem Arnedo on the drums, from Catalonia. After touring stages in Galicia and Madrid, they present their most recent work, which was recently released on the Canarian label 96kMusic.

As part of the second day of the event, the Canarias Jazz Showroom Awards will be given to the year's best projects and artists. The Jazz & Dance concert starts with a new dance proposal for the festival that combines the most contemporary style with the most traditional. The dancers Raquel Lucille and Jep Meléndez, with Fernando Angúlo on drums and Manuel Hernández on bass and a horn section, will show how well the two disciplines can be combined.

Next to perform is the young guitarist and composer Christian Cabrera from La Palma. He will offer us Ethereal Vibes, his first project as a composer, in which he seeks to break free of dogmas by uniting urban sounds with an avant-garde approach, including singable melodies, improvisations, breakbeat, rap and much more. Cabrera's style draws on jazz artists from the 1960s (Shorter, Trane) and contemporary avant-garde influences (Tigran Hamasyan, Rafiq Bathia). The guitarist from La Palma is joined by Nelson Hernández López on the drums, Pablo Díaz Ramos on the piano and keyboards, Ana Ayala Vidaurrázaga on the flute and voice, and Alba Gil Aceytuno on the sax.
