The German maestro Felix Mildenberger will conduct the musicians Antonio Jesús Lasheras, José Llácer, Salvador Alcover and Eugenio Pérez as soloists.

Felix Mildenberger, winner of the prestigious 2021 'Masters of Tomorrow' award, will be the guest conductor at the next concert of the Sinfónica de Tenerife, Mendelssohn y las trompas (Mendelssohn and the Horns), scheduled for Friday, 25 October, at 7.30 p.m. at the Auditorio de Tenerife. The orchestra's hornists, Antonio Jesús Lasheras, José Llácer, Salvador Alcover and Eugenio Pérez, will be the featured soloists at this event, underscoring the talent and artistic quality of the ensemble's musicians. The hornists have stated that they look forward to performing with their colleagues, all sharing a profound camaraderie. 'This unique opportunity is going to be a lot of fun, and we think the concert will be memorable', said the soloists. The performance will be conducted by Felix Mildenberger, who led the orchestra in a concert last year and has one of the most distinguished careers on the international scene.

The first part of the programme will include Mendelssohn's famous overture, The Hebrides, in which the sound of the horns will evoke an atmosphere of magic, heroism and fantasy closely associated with the Romantic spirit of the period. This performance will be followed by an interpretation of Robert Schumann's Konzertstück for Four Horns. This concerto is among the first major works to harness the potential of the valved horn. It reflects the instrument's popularity in Germany at the time. The second part of the programme will continue with Mendelssohn. The composer's Symphony No. 1 in C minor is representative of his fascination with wind instruments during the initial stages of his career when he became well known for his precociousness.

The Tenerife Association for Friends ATADEM, as in every Symphonic recital, will offer a talk about the works that will be performed, given by Lourdes Bonnet Fernández-Trujillo, on Friday, 25 October 2024, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., at the Sala Avenida (in the hall of the Auditorio de Tenerife).

Tickets for this concert can be purchased until the day of the event on the website www.sinfonicadetenerife.es, at the auditorium's box office, or by dialling the phone number 902 317 327 from Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In addition, those wishing to attend the concert may use the Lanzadera Sinfónica, a free bus service taking passengers from the north and south of the island to the auditorium. To access this service, you must collect a free bus ticket. Even if you already have a ticket for the concert, you will have to make a reservation for the free transport, as seating will be limited. The bus tickets may be reserved through the same channels used to purchase event tickets until the day before the concert, at 11 p.m.
