37TH FIMC EDITION: SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA OF TENERIFE
During the 37th International Music Festival of the Canary Islands, the Symphony Orchestra of Tenerife performs under the baton of Fabio Luisi, musical director of the Zurich Opera, the Dallas Symphony, principal conductor of the Danish National Radio Symphony and of the NHK Symphony of Tokyo. The programme includes symphonies by Schubert and Beethoven, as well as Montsalvatge's '5 Canciones Negras' (Five black songs), for which today's great mezzo-sopranos, Nancy Fabiola Herrera, will join them.
