HANSEL AND GRETEL (HUMPERDINCK)
Based on a tale by the Grimm Brothers, Hansel and Gretel tells the adventures of two siblings who get lost in the forest while they are looking for strawberries. A world of houses made of chocolate and sweets, witches and forest creatures. Its fantasy will thrill the youngest of the family, who will enjoy an amusing production that is similar to the way their imagination works.
The score brings together popular opera songs carefully arranged by Humperdinck, who uses a delicate language avoiding monotony or repetition. A masterpiece, new to a great part of the audience, even though it is widely performed in English-speaking countries.
